The story is about a musical genius, who has a monstrous-like face caused by beating during his childhood. He fell in love with a ballet dancer in the opera house where he is kept and taken cared of. Unfortunately, the dancer turned singer, who upon her training from the mysterious man living in the dungeon saw her childhood sweetheart who turned to be the new owner of the opera house. They fell in love with each other and ended with a tragedy for the so-called phantom.

Christine Daaé, a 16 year old chorus girl (dancer and singer) at the “Opéra Populaire”. She is the daughter of a talented Swedish violin player. Her father died when she was 7 and her mother was already dead, so she became an orphan. I like the musical because of the story. It is full of emotions which are even enhanced by the songs in the musical. The music gave justice and more feelings to the actors and actresses. Also, the actors are handsome and beautiful. They portrayed very well and were very realistic.
