Commitment is something which engages one to do something, a continuing obligation especially financial it starts in the heart, tested by action and opens the door to achievement. It is also the state of intellectual and emotional adherence to some political, social, religious theory or action especially the conscious linking of works of literature and art with such theory of action; it is to serve others demonstrated by an act or acts of selfless service. Based on the CWTS module one’s commitment is the character of determination and loyalty found in every Mapúan. We are dedicated to achieve the highest quality of results in all our undertakings. We commit to act responsible by being accountable for our actions and by fulfilling our obligations.
For me it is about engaging oneself and responsibility , here in Mapúa CWTS we are committed to serve others who are in need especially in urban areas in Manila and we are also called to commit ourselves in developing students-community development workers that shall serve as active partners of the institution, of the community and of the nation in implementation of different community development programs, projects and activities, contributory to nation-building and achievement of social transformation focusing on the national security, development and welfare we have to serve the local community through a project geared towards the development of the barangay where the class will implement the project .
Our goal on September 15 where our class will implement the project is to give the students new slippers and we will also teach them how to be creative by designing the slippers, after that we’ll be having a lunch with them. I hope that we’ll have a good performance on that day and give the children the happiness that they deserve because it is the purpose and aim of the project.
