In 2030, one-third of the world will be driving electric cars, but that will only help the carbon savings a little. So, the world is electric car’s, everyone knows they are eco-friendly. But, Personally, I say these cars cannot be our future because the truth of this vehicle is still hidden which needs to be proven. Even though, electric cars seem eco-friendly. The truth is electric cars use components that are hazardous to the environment. Today I will be proving electric cars are harmful to the environment. Now for the major cons of the “perfect electric cars,” some may saith 1. The materials and the car itself conducts pollution. 2. They are overpriced. 3. Electric cars have a limited battery range and it takes too long to recharge the electric car. But remember electric cars still have some good pros to it.Tesla, the supersonic electric car. They use light materials to make them super fast. Everyone knows the car is completely eco-friendly right? Wrong! The components that are used in electric cars are hazardous to the environment. All materials are extracted and processed from the environment and intensive mining. Companies only use about 0.2% of the materials extracted and the rest is dumped back into the environment. These materials include Steel, Copper, Aluminum and rare metals. The materials in making are considered a harm, but not only that, electric cars are hazardous because as the car is manufactured the materials used to make it are put together by machines causing pollution leading to carbon dioxide into our atmosphere. Also, many people may believe electric cars get energy from nature, for example wind, solar etc. Well that’s incorrect the power from the charging station comes from is a nuclear power plant which releases plentiful of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.Everyone should buy an electric car? Are they perfect for the environment? No! Although it may be true Tesla’s and many other electric cars are pretty clean and a decent addition to the human footprint for a reasonable price. Honestly, no! Electric cars are a waste of money. If you change from your conventional gasoline car to an electric car you are wasting money and the company is making a profit off, you. Electric Cars are overpriced such as, If you buy an electric Tesla car the least will be sixty-six thousand dollars to one hundred nine thousand five hundred dollars for a Model S (sedan) and for a Model X Crossover the price will be eighty-five thousand five hundred dollars. That is very expensive. In this way, electric cars are too expensive. So, in my opinion, it is best not to buy an overpriced vehicle and I also believe that you can afford a way better gasoline vehicle for a lower price.Lastly, a huge problem is electric cars have a limited battery. I know you can say that electric cars have a charger which is more convenient well, facts have proven there are less charging stations and the battery in the car takes about thirty times longer to charge. And, you definitely can’t charge on the go. So a gasoline powered vehicle is considered relatively more convenient. A Tesla model s has eighty-five kilowatt-hour battery which can drive up to two hundred and sixty-five miles with a fully charged battery. If you compare that to gasoline cars a typical gasoline car has a minimum range of about two hundred and ninety miles. Also, electric cars take too long to recharge its battery pack. In fact, EV advocate plug-in America states that the typical two hundred forty-volt EV charging station can fully recharge a Chevy Volt in about four hours, and a Nissan Leaf In about eight hours. Tesla’s proprietary charger can add fifty-eight miles of range to its batteries every hour of charging time, so to fully recharge the Tesla Model S it would take about four and a half hours. That’s way too long to wait if you got somewhere now, especially when filling up an empty tank at the gas station with a conventional gasoline car it typically takes about two to three minutes. So, to have more time and a better travel range it’s best not to buy an electric car and stick with your gasoline car.So, in conclusion, although electric cars seem eco-friendly to the earth, they are not. Moreover, you can see that electric cars might be very easy to maintain like no emission tests. But, however, electric cars are overpriced, terrible for the environment and a very small battery range. As you can tell now you know electric cars are not eco-friendly. Don’t forget you can still help the earth. Reduce the amount you drive and drive your current car if possible. But if your car is absolutely beyond repair. Go ahead and buy yourself a small car or even better a used one. So, this is my opinion about electric cars I am positive to know that electric cars are bad for the environment and these were my three points to prove electric cars are bad for the environment. So in my opinion and with the help of these facts, I believe it’s best to use the car you have and not to buy an electric car because it will help everyone, including the environment.
