Fraser Standard from the Depart of Chemistry at the world-renowned Northwestern University, in Illinois, LISA. Nanny: Professor Standard, who was born in Scotland, is known for his pursuing Chemistry beyond the molecule. When combined with his interest in temptation, it has led to template directed synthesis, based on molecular recognition and self- assembly processes of a wide range of mechanically interlocked molecules and feasible variants of which some have found their way into molecular electronic devices and drug delivery systems.
Amandine: Sir Fraser has mentored more than 400 graduate and postdoctoral students, written over 1000 publications and has given over 1000 Lectures, alongside his the decades he has spent as a professor, scholar and researcher in Chemistry. Nanny: Not only has Sir Fraser helped a plethora of students successfully in heir scholarly pursuits in academia, publishing, industry, commerce and government but also has a long list of other accolades. Amandine: In 2007, Sir Fraser was appointed by HEM Queen Elizabeth II as a Knight Bachelor in her 2007 New Year’s Honors list for services to Chemistry and molecular nanotechnology.
Nanny: In the same year, Sir Fraser won the King Facial International Prize in Science, the Albert Einstein World Award in Science, the Funnyman Prize in Nanotechnology, and the Tetrahedron Prize for Creativity in Organic Chemistry. Amandine: In 201 0, he was the recipient of a Royal Medal, ranted by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and presented to him by Prince Philip, Duke Of Edinburgh. Nanny: He is a Fellow Of the Royal Society (1994) and a Member of both the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2012) and the National Academy of Sciences (2014).
Amandine: think all of that deserves a huge round of applause. We would also like to introduce to you Ms. Biting Patella, holding a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry and Ph. D in mass spectrometry, both at the university of Warwick. Nanny: She has been working for the Royal Society of Chemistry Activities in India, developing ambitious strategy for increasing their presence in the region. Amandine: We would also like to welcome, Dry. Michael Smith, the Analytical Program Manager of the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK and Mr..
